Terms of Service

These terms apply when you buy a paid Mend plan on mend.solutions. Mend is a developer pilot made by Akira Patafio, an individual developer (“we” or “us”). If anything here is unclear, email support@mend.solutions before you pay.

What you buy

A monthly subscription to the Mend pilot service on one plan, Personal or Developer, at the price on the pricing page. Stripe’s checkout page shows the price again before you pay. Prices are in US dollars, before tax, and renew monthly until you cancel.

Each plan includes a set retail value of AI usage per monthly billing period. It is not cash or a credit, and unused value does not roll over. During the pilot, a website subscription is charged its monthly price only: extra AI usage is not metered or billed, and cloud AI in your workspace stops when the Mend server’s monthly request limits are reached. Stripe’s checkout page and invoices also list a usage-based price; no usage is reported to it during the pilot, so it adds nothing to your bill. The extra-spending cap described on the pricing page belongs to workspace billing, which website subscriptions don’t have yet; if that changes, we will update these terms first. Seat and app limits on the pricing page are proposed and not yet enforced. The Team and Distributor / OEM plans are not sold online.

Paying

Stripe handles payment on its hosted checkout page, which can offer Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards on supported devices and browsers. Stripe collects your email address, payment details and the billing details it asks for; our Privacy Policy explains what Mend keeps. Stripe charges the monthly price at the start of each billing month and emails your receipts.

Getting started

We email your workspace login to the address you gave Stripe within 1 business day of payment. During the pilot we set up each workspace by hand. If your payment is still processing, we start once it clears. If we can’t set you up, we refund your payment in full and cancel the subscription.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime in the Stripe customer portal; we email you its login link with your workspace login. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access runs to the end of the month you paid for. The portal also lets you update your payment method and see your invoices. To change plans, email us; plan changes are reviewed by us during the pilot.

Refunds

No refunds for past months, except a full refund if we can’t set you up.

The service

Mend watches the screen transitions a developer instruments with its SDK, chooses a recovery the developer has registered, and checks the result in the browser. AI suggestions can be wrong. How Mend uses AI and data, and how to turn cloud AI off, is described in the AI and data disclosure.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
